They say, if you toss a coin in the Trevi fountain in Rome you are sure to return.
We traveled to Italy in May 2016 and we had such an amazing time that we are ready to go back in 2020

We visited Florence and Rome and many hill towns in Tuscany however,
Umbria holds my fondest memories.

A Farm Stay, such a wonderful experience!
I can still hear the bell ring announcing time for the amazing meals that Daniella our chef (with our help) prepared for us each day.
The historic 15th century farm with its stone walkways and arched doors  - complete with several villas and apartments each with its own unique charm. Some buildings as ancient as 1000 AD. Our animal friends always there to greet us.
The albino peacock strutting his stuff while we snapped pictures of him perched on a fence high up in the Umbrian hills..

Time stands still in this amazing place in the Umbrian Hills.   Our hosts were gracious and shared their passion for sustainable living.  We learned to brush our teeth with homemade toothpaste and homemade soaps for our showers.   We picked flowers from the gardens to make our soaps and spent hours in the kitchen making pasta gnocchi and helped made breads while sipping homemade local wine and limoncello.  Taking time to simply lay in a hammock or walk the winding roads through the mountains.
The Yoga Center with two story windows is a welcome addition to this unique farm
This is what retreats are for.  Relax, refresh and renew.

    Italian  Yoga Farm  Stay
April 30 - May 9, 2020

Picture
Retreat to Umbria for an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!
Experience the farm to table life (sustainable living) on an operational 15th century rustic Italian Farm.
Umbria is one of the most beautiful regions in all of Italy.

It's more than a farm stay, really. It’s a small, traditional-style, Umbrian intentional community living in a beautiful fifteenth century farming hamlet, and working towards self-sustainability. The property sits at at an elevation of 600 meters, on top of a hill surrounded by 99 acres of olive groves, pastures, oak forests and a vineyard. There are permaculture gardens and a communal kitchen where everyone eats together. Horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats abound, and there’s even a swimming pool for the warmer months. True to its Italian roots, they raise pigs for food, but they cater for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores equally and will happily accommodate any special food requirements if notified in advance. It's truly “a different experience for every guest, the important thing is to come with an open mind. Everyone can participate as much or as little as they want, we only ask our guests to respect the local traditions and culture and to clean their plate after meals.”

In addition to making your own soaps, breads, and pastas,  You will have the opportunity to cook traditional Italian meals with your host.  Ride horseback at sunset, hike in the rolling Italian hillside, and enjoy nightly bonfires while we savor the fruits of our labor with a glass of our own handmade authentic Italian wine.
